How Can I Feel Safe is a reclamation of feeling safe in this world.

This zine is a personal reflection on the journey to feeling safe again — in our bodies and in this world. In this zine, we explore this journey in 5 parts:

  • Where the unsafe feelings stem from

  • The process of remembering our bodies after disassociating

  • Examples of conditions of safety

  • Owning our bodies and setting boundaries

  • Releasing control in new ways that are safe, yet sometimes do not feel safe

These are all explored in personal reflections that are poetic and accompanied by illustrations.
