Do the ends justify the means?

Do the ends justify the means? Am I supposed to follow the "logical", side-by-side comparison to figure out which option will get me to my dreams? First, I need to define what those dreams are.

Scott & I made a vision board this week:

VisionBoard

It has all of our dream "to do's, to have's, and to be's" (yes, that's a puppy in the middle).

The only thing is, I think we skimped out on the "things to be" department.

It's great to aspire to own a beautiful home and have time to travel, paint, create... but how are we going to achieve those things? Does it matter? I think so, but right now I don't know how I will or how I want to.

That's something I need to give more thought to. Maybe you do, too.
